It's been too long since my last post, and I am compelled to post yet another one of this daily events however sad they may be.
A couple of weeks ago a girl died right at the entrance of our complex. She was 15 years old. The flowers still keep coming and candles are still burning sporadically at the tree where she and a friend of hers where probably standing. The police report said that the girl stumbled onto the street (104th Avenue) in front of a semi-truck. She got hit on the head and died on the spot. For us residence of this complex, a little inconvenience from going in or out of the complex is nothing compared to the grief of the parents for this young girl who was just visiting a friend and will never ever be coming home to them.
I was supposed to be at the Fil-Can of Hawthorne Park general meeting where we are organizing something like a Philippine Independence day celebration in conjunction with our complex's annual garage sale event, but unfortunately, I was tied up trying to give advice to my nephew who just had trouble at work. The details for this matter is posted at my other blog :The Pink Slip Blessing
As I was writing this post I am acknowledging that I too, need to seek counsel. I am praying to God Almighty for His guidance and may He brings me to someone or He brings that someone to me to help me understand the situation I am in now....
